The Life-Giver

Read

  John 5:21

For as the Father  raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. (NKJV)

Reflect

Re-read your favorite version of the text. Think about it for a few minutes. How can you apply it to your life?

Respond

Respond to the Lord by thanking Him for being the Life and the Life-Giver.

Rest

Finally, simply rest in the Word of God and in His presence. Abide in the Lord and allow Him to abide in you by and through His Word.

We Have An Eternal Building From God

Read

 2 Corinthians 5:1

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (NKJV)
For we know that if our earthly house, the tent we live in, is dismantled, we have a building from God, a house not built by human hands, that is eternal in the heavens. (NET)
For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.  (NASB)

Reflect

Think about the scriptural text you just read and take from it what the Lord wants to give you. Repeat the text to yourself. Memorize it. Allow it to sink into you.

Respond

Talk to the Lord about what you discovered during your time of reflection. Ask Him to reveal the true meaning of the scripture to you and how you can apply it to your life. Wait for and listen to His response to you.

Rest
