In Christ All Will Be Made Alive

Read

  I Corinthians 15:19-22 (NET)

For  if only in this life we have hope in Christ, we should be pitied more than anyone. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead also came through a man. For just as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

Reflect

Slowly re-read the scripture. Think about it for a few minutes. Do you have hope in Christ  — for this life and all eternity?

Respond

Respond to the Lord by thanking Him for being the Hope of not only this life but forevermore!

Rest

Finally, simply rest in the Word of God and in His presence. Abide in the Lord and allow Him to abide in you by and through His Word.

The Same Spirit

Read

  Romans 8:11

But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.  (NKJV)
Moreover if the Spirit of the one who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you,  the one who raised Christ from the dead will also make our mortal bodies alive through his Spirit who lives in you. (NET)
But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.  (NASB)

Reflect

Re-read your favorite version of the text. Think about it for a few minutes. Does the life-giving Spirit of God live in you?

Respond

Respond to the Lord by thanking Him for freely  giving you His Spirit — all you need do is ask Him.

Rest

Finally, simply rest in the Word of God and in His presence. Abide in the Lord and allow Him to abide in you by and through His Word.
